Expatiate

Expatiate. 

Isn’t that an impressively vague sounding word reminiscent of convincing a patriot to switch sides?? Or maybe that’s just me🤔

Now, what it really means is “to write in great detail and at length, or to enlarge in discourse or writing, to be copious in description or discussion.” It can also mean to roam, or to wander freely. 

Am I the only one who’s never heard it before, and isn’t that the most splendidly proper and  dignified sounding thing to call scribbling?? Everything summed up at once, in that one word. It means Expound, and Clarify, Elucidate, Explicate, any number of noble words, and rolls all the bits of yarn into one tidy ball.
