One Scribbler’s Snug

This, as you can plainly see…. Is the Scribbler’s Snug.

Isn’t that an adorable word, snug? I read about them in a book once, (they’re such darling, comfy little rooms) and always wanted one of my very own… Just big enough to fit in and be cozy (:

And this one is designed and fitted up especially for such times as things come along right out of the blue, stop you in your tracks, and insist upon being written up on the spot. You’d be amazed at the situations in which I’ve found myself having to dash for a pencil and something to scribble on…. Everything from coffee filters to grocery receipts have become desperation-stationary at my hands!

See, Scribbles hide if you go looking for them.

Mine do, anyways. Like four leaf clovers, all the searching in the world won’t make them appear, and nearly always, they pop up when you’re thinking of something else entirely! But if, strike the thought in its tracks, you don’t get at least an outline of it onto something right then and there…. That four leaf clover may be gone for good😳

So you see why this is a bit of an essential place here.

Like Jo’s garret, it is to be

where all my whimsical wanderings dwell, and you, my dearies, are to have the first (and perhaps only) peek at them as they appear!

The main rule of this nook is the following~

“Don't try to write anything you can't feel -

it will be a failure. 'echoes nothing worth.”

~L.M. Montgomery

This is very, very true, and that is why I’m adopting it as my motto.

Also, for this very reason, you mustn’t be too surprised if the collection doesn’t grow very rapidly at all. I have no control over the comings and goings of scribbles, I’m afraid! But I am really very fond of this place, myself, and hope to accumulate quite a little bundle of scribblings here as time goes by ( ; Things need not be predictable to be enormously enjoyable!!

And now, if I may introduce the very first resident scribble….
